about

Between 2020 and 2021 I had the bright idea to reinvent myself as a bedroom pop musician named Watch the Tramcar, inspired by the famous Wildwood, NJ tramcars. I gave up on making experimental music and committed myself to making music about my sexuality and gender identity that was heavily inspired by Z-Tapes Records. I made a few tracks that I submitted to Z-Tapes community seasonal compilations and actually got on a few of them. I'm not sure what happened, but I only committed to this for a short while before going back to OLD LUNG. Before quitting I was writing a record titled "The Perfect American Home Does Not Exist" that was supposed to be my first proper release as Watch the Tramcar that was never finished. This unfinished project eventually morphed into "High Lonesome" This compilation compiles all of the material I recorded as High Lonesome and the finished parts of "The Perfect American Home..." that didn't make it to "High Lonesome."
